The mangosteen (Garcinia Mangostana) is a tropical fruit considered to be one of the finest tasting fruits in the world and has earned the popular title "the Queen of Fruit." The mangosteen tree is found predominantly in Southeast Asia in countries like Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Pericarp (sometimes spelled Pericarb): A thick dark purple, smooth rind that encloses the fruit segments.

Pulp: 4 to 8 triangular segments of snow-white, soft flesh. Known for its excellent flavor, the mangosteen is proclaimed by many to be the best among tropical fruits.

Xanthones are a class of plant derived nutrients or "phytonutrients." They have been demonstrated in numerous scientific studies to hold tremendous nutritional value. What is amazing is that the Mangosteen (which, by the way, has no connection with the mango), has never been utilized for its multiple health benefits in North America or Europe despite its history and popularity as a folk remedy in Asia and South America. Only as a flavor or pulp. As aforementioned, the mangosteen fruit pulp is delicious and there have been a few commercial items that have featured the mangosteen fruit pulp or flavor. Never before has a company brought to market the whole fruit goodness of the mangosteen—pericarp, pulp and seeds. XanGo is the first!

Those who have traveled to Asia may have come across Mangosteen flavored chewing gum by Lotte or mangosteen pulp in syrup sold under the name Twin Elephants. Also, here in the US, a drink sold under the brand name Zotics features mangosteen flavoring, but no actual mangosteen fruit.

Occasionally gift companies will ship frozen mangosteen in for use in exotic gift baskets. These companies charge a premium price for the fruit. It is rumored that the famous Harrods department store in England brought mangosteen in and charged the equivalent of several US dollars for each piece of fruit.

www.xango.net currently is divided into two sections: front end and back end. The front end is what can be accessed by the general public. In essence, it’s the marketing front of the company on the internet. Customers and prospective customers can get on the site and review general information regarding the company, the executive team, the product, the science and so forth. Anyone with internet capability can review the XanGo website at their leisure.

The back end is different. It is reserved solely for distributors. When someone becomes a distributor with XanGo he/she is given a Distributor ID number and password. That number is confidential and is used by the company to run commissions and track linkage throughout the distributor downline. The Distributor ID is also used by a distributor for sponsorship, placement and tracking. The distributor password is highly confidential in that only the distributor should know his/her password. Both the distributor ID number and the password are required to log in to the distributor login section of the website.

If you dial 415-273-6145 you can listen to previously aired calls. The call line is on-demand and should be able to handle large volume. Because the calls need to burned to CD after their aired, the call line will update calls approximately a week after they're aired.

We are looking into having the calls available on the web site in wave files. Our IT department is putting in long hours these days but it is on the "To Do" list.

This was a point of confusion during the first week. As our PowerStart information states you will receive between 20% and 30% on the initial order of your personally signed new distributors. Our agents wanted to make sure everyone understood that PowerStart Commissions are paid on the initial order. Some people requested placing bigger initial orders and wanted to know if PowerStart only applied to Auto Delivery Program (ADP) amounts.

We have incredibly big goals as a group. We do plan on creating a tremendous organization within the next five years that will include international expansion.

This being said, our primary goal at this time is to take care of our core team here in North America. Our core competencies are our number one goal at this time. Making sure that we have a strong model that can be duplicated (yes we at the XanGo home office also believe in duplication ) is of vital importance to us.

Since our November 4th opening we've already had requests to enter several foreign markets-wow. We appreciate your excitement and aggressive desire to take the world by storm, however, we're still in our first month of operation.

We're aggressive, but we understand the need to focus and build so we can manage success. We're training our staff in all areas of the company and when we accomplish this proficiently we can look at foreign markets.
